EEK!

School's out for the next 84 days. What do I do? I have decided I want each day to start with chores and a little school work. Where do I find school work? Any suggestions? I have no idea!

I also decided that by doing chores and homework the kids can earn points towards things like a trip to Lagoon or the zoo (thanks Tam). Sound good? So I know I can come up with chores, but I need help with curriculum!

Finally.

My life is slowing down. Or maybe I am just speading up. I don't know, but it feels good. I really think it's just hiring help (than you nancy!).

So I now have time to market my little business. I want to chase some work, rather than my working always chasing me. So...do you have a favorite local children's boutique you'd like to see some cute new Binkie Clips in? If so, let me know and I will ship out a sample and marketing material to them.

I am currently in...(but can always use more stores no matter where)

Couldn't Wait...

for the quilt market pictures. I have been checking all my favorite fabric designer's blogs to see some pics and no one has really posted. They are all probably poopped! So I went to flickr (duh!) There are 349 pictures when searching "quilt market 2009." I know, I'm so smart.

Another Thing to Try...

I found this skirt on Moda's Bake Shop. So cute! I'll have to try it.

I was tickled pink to help Lila get ready for the upcoming market. I got to sew a few of these skirts with her new line. I LOVE these fabrics and for sure will be adding some to my shop! She will be selling the pattern, just check out her blog for more info. I'm excited to have found the pattern for the above skirt to make for my girls, since Lila's is for adults.

Cutesy

I love this little pouch. I think I will try it with a handle so it's more like a little girly clutch (and with fabric, not felt). I'll let you know when I have a finished product. Tutorial here.

It's That Time Again!

The Holy Cow started this morning. It runs through Saturday for those of you needing last minute mother's day gifts (or baby accessories). It should be a good show. There are a few fun new vendors

Kansas City, MO

I just got back from a short trip to visit my sis and her fam (send me pictures, girl!). What a great place! It was beautifully green and felt very un-crowded, even though it's a big place. We ate good food (yes, I had BBQ), saw a few church sites, and shopped. I found an undiscovered side of me in Urban Outfitters. The city itself was really fun and my sis took me to some great places. We found this wonderful little shop which is now my all time fave (too bad it's 1000 miles away). I love the name too: Vintiques. I found all these great little suprises that I hope someday to add to dresses.

Here's a picture of one that will be at the Holy Cow.

I used an old table runner for the apron. Hopefully someday I can start making more. My idea is to add a little touch of vintage to each piece so they are all one-of-a-kind. I only have about 4 to sell this show, but maybe more next time! Thanks C&E, I had a great time! Can't wait to see you again!
